Leadership New Mexico’s Core Program is a 10-month, statewide leadership experience for established leaders who are committed to serving New Mexico with integrity, curiosity, and purpose. As Leadership New Mexico’s flagship program, Core brings together senior leaders from across sectors to deepen their understanding of the systems, communities, and challenges shaping our state, while building trusted relationships that strengthen collaboration and impact.
Instructions for Completing the Application:
- Admission to the Core Program is highly competitive, and each year a limited number of applicants are selected from a strong pool of accomplished leaders across the state
- Applicants are asked to complete all required sections of the application in full. Incomplete applications will not be considered. As part of the application process, you will be asked to submit:
- A current résumé
- Two (2) letters of recommendation or nomination, preferably from Leadership New Mexico alumni, that speak to your leadership experience, character, and readiness for the Core Program
- Information about your professional background, leadership roles, and community involvement
- A brief statement of interest outlining your reasons for applying and your commitment to the program.
- Applicants should be prepared to fully participate in all program sessions if selected.
- Selected applicants will be notified by email and provided with next steps, including tuition information, program logistics, and key deadlines.
- All application materials must be submitted by May 29, 2026. Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
